Fall is always the best time to get a little creative and experimental to lift up your makeup game. Owing to the slightly colder weather and reduced humidity, you could successfully get away with wearing dewy glossy and slightly heavier makeup without the fear of getting your face melt-off mid-day or end up with caked up face after a few hours due to the natural oil secretion system of your facial skin. If your skin is more on the combination to oily spectrum, this is the best time to try all of your more hydrating dewy foundations.
Those of you with combination to dry skin types may experience slightly enhanced dryness as the fall season proceeds, but it is nothing a good night cream or moisturizing sleeping mask would not take care of. Here is a brilliant fall makeup trend report for you all, this will gradually take you through the in-trend shades, finishes and makeup styles of the season.
1-The Drama is going to be on the Eyes this Fall
Fall is the season of bold, warm, smokey grunge eye makeup. As seen on the runway this year, it was refreshing to see so many other shadows popping up in style in addition to the typical burgundy and plum eyeshadows for fall. Warm mustardy yellows, dirty khaki greens and metallic bronze will stay in trend this fall as far as the eye makeup shades are concerned. Many high end and drugstore brands released several eyeshadow palettes for fall featuring yellows and greens; Anastasia Beverly Hill’s Subculture Palette, Natasha Denona’s Sunset palette both featured yellow tones of eyeshades. Another interesting thing is seeing pink and purple being included to fall eye makeup this year. The New Huda Palette is all about purples and pink drama on eyes. A lot of metallics, shimmers and duochrome eyeshade finishes will be in trend for fall.
2-Glossy Lips are Back for Fall 2017
The launch of Rihanna’s beauty line – Fenty Beauty has taken over the world of makeup by a storm. If you are a makeup fanatic, chance are you have already seen the line. It is interesting to note that Rihanna introduced only a single lip gloss for her lips category. The rest of her line focuses mainly on complexion products. This is a huge giveaway that the glossy lips of early 2000s are back in trend. Various high street brands have also launched hi-shine lip lacquers and even metallic liquid lipsticks. It looks like the beauty world is finally ready to move on from the matte lip trend.
3-Baking is out
Baking the under-eye concealer and even cream contour was huge during Spring/Summer this year. However, that insta-made famous trend is finally fading. Fall is all about beautifully perfected natural looking skin. The contour this season is going to be minimum – just enough to slightly shape the face, nothing dramatic. Glossy highlights are going to replace bold metallic highlights. With so much drama going on the eyes, it would be best to keep the rest of the face light.
