Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have a mutual friend to thank for their royal romance.
The newly-engaged couple revealed that they were set up on a blind date last summer and knew very little about each other before they met.
“It was definitely a set-up — it was a blind date,” Harry said during the couple’s revealing interview on Monday. “It was a blind date for sure.” The couple said in their first interview to the BBC after announcing the royal engagement.
Their initial first date was quickly followed by two back-to-back dates in London.
“And then it was I think about three, maybe four weeks later that I managed to persuade her to come and join me in Botswana,” Harry continued. “And we camped out with each other under the stars. She came and joined me for five days out there, which was absolutely fantastic.
“So then we were really by ourselves, which was crucial to me to make sure that we had a chance to know each other.”
Meghan admitted that she didn’t know much about the royal prior to their blind date.

The packaging is perfection.
Rihanna released a teaser of the Match Stix (wind-up, stick skin formulas for adding color and contour) on the Fenty Beauty Instagram page that alluded to magnetic packaging, and we can confirm that they do indeed clip together in a manner that’s both highly satisfying and totally convenient (no more rummaging around in your bag for rogue blusher). But it does not stop there. Take the paper, which can be rolled up as one long sheet and fitted into a nifty dispenser — using an inbuilt mirror, obviously.
The color range is second to none
Rihanna’s whole ethos behind Fenty Beauty is that it caters to everyone, regardless of their skin color or kind, and the range of shades is impressive. The base comes in throngs of colors but also different undertones, meaning each shade has a cool and a version. Additionally, if your shade can’t be found by you there is the even talk of the brand offering bespoke color matching, they’ll mix it up for you.
The formulas are high-end.
Highlighting whether contouring or including a pop of color, the liquid formulas are ultra-blendable, without being so creamy they slip and slide around your face. The powder products are finely-milled and velvety to the touch, meaning they are both easy to use and to build up for a color payoff that is superior or more protection.

Trophy Wife highlighter; a gold pressed powder that is guaranteed to create a pop that is cheekbones. Or else, try Gloss Bomb; a sweet-smelling and glossy – but not tacky – nude lip gloss which provides a finish that is every day. Kicking off the holiday season, President Trump and first lady Melania Trump lit the National Christmas Tree at the White House. Melania Trump stars in the official unveiling of White House decorations. The video that the First Lady tweeted on Monday shows her overseeing wreath developments, confirming that the lights are lights, marking some markings—all while wearing festive chunky knits and a couple over-the-shoulder jackets.
The White House Office of the First Lady’s press release revealed that Mrs. Trump designed this year’s holiday decorations around the theme “Time-Honored Traditions.”
There are room-by-room thematic variations, like the China Room, which “honors the holiday traditions of dining and hospitality” with a table made up for Christmas dinner with Ronald Reagan’s china.
The Library shows off President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s 1866 edition of A Christmas Carol to honor the tradition of telling Christmas stories.
